Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Directs staff in expediting export correspondence, bid requests, and credit collections
  • Maintain awareness of customer needs to develop compliance recommendations and decisions and opportunities for enhanced services.
  • Manages marketing of export services and growth of the procurement segment of the business.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Arranges shipping details such as export licenses, customs declarations, and packing and routing product
  • Expedites import/export arrangements and maintains current information on import/export tariffs, licenses, and restrictions
  • Effectively manages difficult customer situations

Other Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to be a team player and work effectively with senior-level staff.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, be proactive and be able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficient at MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and be highly organized.
  • Strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment while providing inspiration to a growing team.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in International Business Administration, Finance or Economics, is required.
  • 5 or more years of procurement experience.
  • 5 or more years of supervisory or management experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
