Job Description
The Experiential Marketing Manager owns TGR’s event program from show selection through follow-up. TGR’s buyers are rigorous. They compare TGR against established vendors and decide on evidence, and much of that evidence reaches them at trade shows, customer site visits, and hosted programs. This role plans and runs those programs, judges each one by the pipeline it creates, and works daily with Sales, Product Marketing, and Customer Success.
The role leads the event program across all regions and provides direction to a Europe-based Experiential Marketing Specialist. It is based at TGR’s Los Angeles headquarters and involves frequent travel to trade shows and customer sites.
Responsibilities:
- Own the full lifecycle of TGR’s trade show and event program: research, selection with leadership, budget, planning, execution, and evaluation.
- Set and manage the annual event calendar and budget across regions. Test new event formats on a small scale, measure the results, and recommend where to invest, expand, or stop.
- Manage event vendors from start to finish, including booth fabrication, shipping, storage, staging, venues, and sponsorship contacts.
- Brief booth and event creative with the design team, and work with Product Marketing so every event carries the same message.
- Recommend who staffs each event, confirm staffing with Sales and Customer Success leadership, and prepare staff for demonstrations and meetings on the show floor.
- Plan pre-event outreach and meeting generation with Sales, owning the follow-up workflow, and leading handoff into the CRM within an agreed timeframe, and attribution of pipeline and opportunities to each event.
- Plan and execute events with Sales that support the account-based strategy for high-value accounts, such as site visits, demo days, and hosted customer events, and coordinate on-site and virtual sales demonstrations.
- Build relationships with industry associations and key opinion leaders (KOLs), and find speaking, session, and sponsorship opportunities worth the investment.
- Build the operating process for the program: intake, budgets, vendor workflows, approvals, and reporting. Use AI workflows for repeatable tasks, with human review of the output.
- Report each event and program on meetings booked, pipeline created, cost, and return.
- Write proposals and post-event recaps that leadership can act on, including risks, trade-offs, and recommendations.
- Provide direction, planning support, and regular feedback to the Europe-based Experiential Marketing Specialist, and set shared standards for vendors, budgets, lead capture, and reporting.
Requirements
- 5+ years in B2B event, field, or experiential marketing, including lead ownership of a full annual trade show program.
- Track record of account-based or field programs built with Sales that produced measurable pipeline.
- Experience marketing technical or hardware products to B2B buyers. Experience in medical devices, healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated markets is a strong plus.
- Experience managing event budgets, vendors, and contracts, and making trade-offs under deadline.
- Hands-on AI use in your own work, including workflows or automations you built that ran in real work, and a clear method for checking the output.
- Strong written communication, including proposals and recaps that leadership can act on.
- Experience guiding or mentoring a colleague, including across time zones, with the ability to set standards and review work remotely.
- Hands-on experience with CRM, event platforms, and lead capture tools.
- Comfort in an early-stage company and a willingness to put in the time it takes to build something new.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and operate in the field, with frequent travel (approximately 40%) and hands-on work on site, including setup and teardown. Able to lift and move event materials.
