Demonstrated ability to manage event timelines, vendor details, deadlines, materials, and stakeholder communication with accuracy and follow-through. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events, priorities, and details in a fast-paced environment. Professional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, vendors, customers, and sales stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with event platforms, project management tools, CRM systems, or marketing automation tools is a plus. Resourceful, accountable, and comfortable taking initiative to solve problems, improve processes, and keep event work moving.
Viking participates in a wide variety of events, including trade shows, industry meetings, customer visits, and training seminars. The Event Marketing Specialist is expected to manage assigned event work with clear ownership, balancing multiple timelines, vendors, internal requests, brand requirements, and shifting priorities. Day-to-day problem solving may include resolving shipping or show service issues, coordinating last-minute changes, aligning materials with event objectives, and identifying practical improvements for future events. The role requires sound judgment, strong communication, and the ability to keep details moving while protecting the quality and consistency of Viking’s brand presence.
