Northside Hospital Forsyth's Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) is a 16-bed adult specialty unit that serves as an extension of critical care, providing advanced monitoring and specialized nursing care for patients who require a higher level of support than a traditional acute care setting. Nurses in the IMCU work alongside a team of physicians, nurses, and support staff dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes while prioritizing patient comfort, safety, and well-being. The unit offers a fast-paced environment where teamwork, and compassion are at the center of care. Responsibilities

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.
  • Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
  • Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
  • Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

  • Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
