Clinical educator - emergency services

Description Under the guidance of the Market Education Director, the Nursing Educator collaborates with facility/market nursing leadership and staff across departments to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and revise educational programming for all levels of nursing personnel and non-nursing personnel as indicated or requested. The educator acts as a key resource in the orientation and continuing education of nursing staff at Tenet Healthcare. The Nursing Educator implements a comprehensive education program for his/her assigned units while following and contributing to Tenet educational goals and vision. Educational programs typically include, but are not limited to, orientation, continuing education, and in-services. Other services may include, but are not limited to, process, performance and service-delivery consultation, and contributions to the organization through councils, committees, and workgroups.

Responsibilities Develop and Deliver Nursing Education Programs - Support the educational needs of assigned units/clinics through classroom instruction, clinical experiences, and learning technologies. Implement orientation, competency, and professional development programs for nursing staff. Ensure Compliance with Regulatory and Professional Standards - Maintain and revise educational programs to meet Department of Nursing requirements, regulatory standards, and national nursing education best practices. Lead Professional Development and Mentorship - Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to nurses, preceptors, nurse residents, students, and colleagues to support professional growth and clinical excellence. Coordinate Continuing Education and Specialized Training - Plan, deliver, and evaluate continuing education programs, in-services, specialty curricula, Grand Rounds, and other learning initiatives that enhance staff competency. Support Quality Improvement and Clinical Practice Enhancement - Participate in quality improvement activities, assist with clinical policy and procedure development, and oversee key projects such as TNCC, annual competencies, trauma-related education, behavioral competencies, and de-escalation training. Performs related duties as required Qualifications Required: Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, nursing education, or related specialty Licensure/Certification: Current state licenses and certifications (ACLS, PALS and TNCC). Preferred: Experience: 3 years of nursing experience in an acute care ED setting
