The Oregon Department of Justice’s Division of Child Support (DCS) is hiring a Child Support Assistant (Office Specialist 1) for our Hillsboro office! Friendly, helpful, organized, good judgment-- those are just a few of the qualities we’ll be looking for in a candidate. In this role, you will provide a wide variety of general office support to our Hillsboro child support team including but not limited to processing various types of child support actions (legal, locate requests, referrals for services, or general records processing). The ability to speak and write fluently in English and Spanish is a plus!

Due to the nature of this position, the required work hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. in office, Monday through Friday, with an hour scheduled for lunch. This position does not offer hybrid/remote work.
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required).

One year of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents.
OR
An equivalent combination of experience and college coursework or training in a general office occupation.

Finalists must pass a comprehensive employment reference check and fingerprint-based criminal background check. A driver history check will be included for positions requiring state vehicle driving privileges. Adverse findings will be evaluated to determine eligibility for the position.
