Position Summary:

The CAB Variety Director will help to bring a variation of performers to campus, but not limited to, comedians, hypnotist, novelty acts, illusionist, and interactive entertainment, etc.

Essential Functions:

  • Be the single point of contract for tracking your event activities
  • Provide clear, accurate communication between CAB directors, committee members, entertainers, agencies, WU Scheduling Office, WSGA, and the Washburn Student Body
  • Assist other directors, in the design, planning, execution and communication of CAB sponsored events and projects in a timely efficient manner
  • Attend ALL Campus Activities Board events, including programs organized by other directors
  • Continuously strive to improve, streamline and optimize the production of CAB Sponsored events, projects and operations

All Directors will work together as a team to develop, plan and evaluate programming events for the Washburn Community, students, Faculty, staff, administration, Alumni and the Topeka Community. Such as: Lectures & Wellness, Live Music & Special Events, and Variety & Entertainment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Enrolled at least 12 credit hours
  • In Good Standing with University
  • Maintain Cumulative GPA of 2.5 and semester GPA 2.5 while in office
  • Effective Communication Skills- Written and Verbal
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Able to work and attend all events
  • Able to attend weekly CAB Director meetings
