A leading Southeast law firm is seeking a Business Development Manager for its Birmingham, Nashville, Jackson, MS, or Atlanta office. This is a strategic, non-sales role with no quotas, cold calling, or origination responsibility. The focus is on project ownership and results.

The Business Development Manager will serve as the primary business development partner to assigned Practice Groups and manage initiatives from concept through execution. Responsibilities include working with attorneys to build and track practice business plans, identifying client growth targets, and supporting cross-servicing.

The role also leads RFPs, pitches, and presentations, and maintains collateral, website content, attorney bios, and the experience database. The manager will handle legal directory submissions and rankings, coordinate events and sponsorships, and partner with Marketing Communications and the Marketing Technology Team on visibility and digital initiatives.

Additional duties include budgeting and reporting, lateral attorney integration, mentoring Business Development Coordinators, and travel across the firm's offices. Ideal candidates are law firm business development professionals with experience supporting attorneys, strong project management and strategic planning skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders without selling.
