Lancer Hospitality is hiring a Banquet Manager in Phoenix, AZ. The Banquet Manager's primary responsibility is to manage all aspects of event planning and execution, ensuring that client expectations are not only met but exceeded. This role encompasses a wide range of duties including planning, budgeting, training, and vendor management. This role is located at an exciting Cultural Attraction!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Event Planning and Execution: Create and manage event paperwork inclusive of floor plans and rental orders. Oversee the set up, operations, and breakdown of events. Lead and coordinate the event team, ensuring seamless communication with all stakeholders including culinary, sales, event servers, event bartenders, event supervisors/coordinators, and housemen.
  • Client Relations: Maintain effective communication and manage expectations with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with various vendors and suppliers to guarantee that all necessary equipment and services are available and operational for events.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of in-house equipment and disposables. Track and manage inventory of outsourced equipment.
  • Post-Event Analysis: Conduct post-event evaluation including gathering feedback and analyzing data to identify any areas of improvement.
  • Financial Oversight: Ensure to adhere to budgetary goals, creatively managing cost while fulfilling stakeholder needs. Collect and submit all invoices for timely payment within Net 30 terms.

What We're Looking For:

Must-haves:

  • Prior Event Management, catering, planning, and executing experience.
  • Knowledge of Steps of Service.
  • The ability to multitask and manage multiple events concurrently.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Must have an open and flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Reliable transportation to commute between units.
  • Valid driver's license to drive company catering vehicles.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
