ASSISTANT MANAGER (LPN/RN)

Saint Joe's is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Manager (LPN or RN) to join our team and help lead the delivery of exceptional care for residents in our pediatric residential program. This unique leadership role combines hands-on clinical care, care coordination, staff development, and family support in an environment that blends the best aspects of acute care and long-term residential services.
As an Assistant Manager, you will oversee clinical and operational services for residents within a two-cottage team, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture. You will play a key role in coordinating medical services, managing hospital admissions and discharges, partnering with families, and supporting frontline staff through coaching, training, and mentorship.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership and oversight of clinical care services for residents.
- Coordinate resident hospital admissions, medical follow-up, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, community agencies, and interdisciplinary teams to support resident outcomes.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for families and provide education and medical training when needed.
- Support onboarding, coaching, training, and development of care staff.
- Ensure compliance with documentation requirements, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain an active presence in the cottages and provide direct support to residents and staff as needed.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and assist with facility operations and emergency response.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Ohio LPN or RN license required.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
- Experience with ventilator and tracheostomy care preferred.
- Acute care or hospital nursing experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills.
