Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Area Manager is responsible for the performance, management and oversight of their assigned program. Duties include hiring, supervising and developing frontline staff and case managers, managing program budgets to meet or exceed targets, cultivating successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximize program efficiency, and ensuring a consistent brand of high-quality service delivery.

What you’ll be doing

Client Management

  • Develop and maintain relationships with regional center personnel, service coordinators, care providers, and program managers.
  • Enter referrals into OFA’s client referral system.
  • Determine client eligibility and fit for the program.
  • Schedule and hold initial and ongoing ISP meetings.
  • Monitor client attendance and service quality.
  • Review incident reports and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Develop community partnerships and enrichment activities.

Program Management

  • Gather and submit required operational reports.
  • Manage program budgets and expenditures.
  • Maintain accurate service, authorization, and billing records.
  • Ensure compliance with audits, safety drills, and quality assurance requirements.
  • Participate in outreach and community events.

Coaching and Mentoring

  • Conduct interviews and hiring activities.
  • Supervise and support direct reports.
  • Ensure staff training, compliance, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Approve timecards, expenses, and personnel actions.
  • Coordinate with HR on investigations and corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Effective communication verbally and in writing, with proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary
  • Proficient use of basic office equipment, Microsoft Suite, and required systems (Videoconferencing, database management system, etc.)
  • Resilience, with the ability to respond quickly to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, trends, and strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Strong personnel management experience
  • Fluency in a foreign language
  • CPR/First Aid Certification

Employment Requirements

  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel within and throughout the region where services are provided.
  • Ability to travel in and throughout the state as needed to attend meetings.
  • Successful completion of background check.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This position requires the employee to regularly stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. The employee must be capable of writing, using a computer keyboard, telephone and related office equipment. Ability to lift 10lbs. required. The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
