The Position:

Alaskan Brewing Company is searching for an Administrative Assistant. This position will focus on assisting multiple departments including Administration, Marketing and Accounting, and may assist the leadership team on occasion. Having the ability to prioritize and switch between tasks seamlessly is vital to this position. General tasks could include but are not limited to:

• Shipping of beer samples and POS items from Juneau.
• Assist with donation requests and fulfillment.
• Handle label, coaster and sticker requests.
• Assist with taking photos of production runs, events during business hours or other photos needed as directed by Marketing Manager.
• Manage general brewing inquiry email.
• Review main phone line voicemails, responding or forwarding to appropriate department.
• Distribute mail and send packaging notices; assist with mailings via USPS or FedEx.
• Oversee general supplies including ordering from Staples and Costco runs.
• Assist with filing or scanning projects and the annual accounting archive project.
• Assist with Sales hospitality requests including setting up VIP tours, working with retail or greeting guests.
• Assist with management of vehicle registrations.
• Assist with travel reservations and apartment usage management.
• Assist with setting up for Board meetings, including assisting with Board Packets.
• Work with HR on Business Card Orders.

Requirements, Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move packages up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to use a desktop computer, telephone and ten-key. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook.
• Experience working in office setting and performing administrative duties.
• Ability to set priorities and manage competing demands.
• Strong Communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
• Commitment to high-quality customer service.
