Adjunct professor, division of social sciences

Description New College of Florida is the nationally recognized honors college of the State University System in Florida. A small, innovative liberal arts institution, New College offers an individualized and student-centered curriculum where students receive narrative evaluations in lieu of grades.

New College invites applications for the position of Adjunct Professor in the Division of Social Sciences in the following areas of concentration: Anthropology, Economics, Finance, History, Political Science, Psychology, Quantitative Social Science, Social Sciences and Sociology.

Interested candidates should submit an application and upload the following documents: C.V., sample syllabus and a cover letter indicating area of interest. In addition, please identify two to three scholars willing to offer a verbal or written recommendation.

Examples of Duties:

• Instruct one or two courses at the undergraduate level
• Prepare course plans and materials
• Monitor student progress / attendance
• Advise students
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters degree in relevant field.
• Experience working with undergraduate students.
• All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring immigration sponsorship, including but not limited to non-immigrant visas, such as H1B, STEM, or F1, now and in the future.
