Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing on complex product functionality, including edge cases and related functional areas
• Write new automated tests for both simple and complex functionality
• Design and drive test suits, catching defects early and protecting customers through shift-left quality practices
• Partner with engineers to verify that deliverables meet functional and technical specifications, contributing to code reviews and test ability improvements along the way
• Serve as a mentor to junior QA contractors — reviewing their work, providing guidance, and helping them grow
• Build and maintain test case libraries and test infrastructure—including frameworks, test data strategies, CI/CD pipeline integrations, and test reporting dashboards—to support reliable continuous delivery
• Leverage AI tooling to assist with test case automation and to streamline the authorship and management of test documentation
• Understand and operate within Customer’s software development lifecycle and squad-based operating model

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development in test
• Product knowledge — ability to demonstrate complex product functionality to other teams and organizations
• Eagerness to adopt AI-assisted QA tools and workflows
• Experience in QA engineering with a track record of delivering quality product
• Strong manual testing skills on complex product functionality, including edge cases and cross-functional areas
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and the ability to write new automated tests for complex functionality
• Ability to write and maintain comprehensive test cases for both basic and complex product functionality
• Good communication skills — ability to bring value and insight to conversations and communicate overarching project status effectively to technical and non-technical people
• Results-oriented mindset — ensures on-time delivery and digs in to help unblock others
• Would be a plus Experience mentoring and guiding junior QA team members
• Familiarity with Kanban-based development workflows and spec-driven development practices
