Job Description

Purpose

The purpose of the Drug Enforcement Taskforce (DET) Supervisor position is to lead and supervise a team of investigators to enable effective prevention, detection, and resolution of illicit drugs and firearms investigations within and on Tonga boarders.

Competency Requirements

Competencies for this position are at the SERGEANT level of the Tonga Police Core Competency Framework.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant Diploma Level 5/6 Tonga National Qualifications and Accreditation Board (TNQAB) framework + up to 3 years’ relevant work experience
  • Relevant certificate level 4/trade/technical qualification + 3 years’ relevant work experience
  • Current Tonga Police employee with 5 years’ experience in a similar role (meeting other core competency and experience requirements specified in the job description + PDA results of "MET" or "EXCEEDED" for the past 2 consecutive years)
