Job Description

You will be a Prototyping Engagement Manager in the AWS PACE (Prototyping and Customer Engineering) team, based in Riyadh. You are the face of PACE for customers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia — helping enterprises turn their most ambitious ideas into working technology proofpoints on AWS.

You work at the intersection of business strategy and emerging technology. You identify the opportunities where generative AI, agentic systems, and cloud-native architectures can create the most value for a customer — then you shape, qualify, and drive those engagements from first conversation to working prototype and beyond.

You pilot a pipeline of high-value innovation opportunities, you earn the trust of C-suite and technical leaders alike, and you create the conditions for brilliant engineers to do their best work. You pair with hands-on Prototyping Architects to deliver multi-week hands-on engagements that de-risk transformation, prove out new workloads, and accelerate customers' paths to production.

You thrive in ambiguity. Your customers are navigating generational technology shifts — foundation models, autonomous agents, intelligent automation — and you help them cut through the noise, make crisp decisions, and move fast. You work backwards from customer outcomes, you insist on the highest standards in scoping and delivery, and you invent on behalf of customers who don't yet know what's possible.

This role is based in Riyadh and supports customers across KSA and the wider GCC, working alongside account teams, specialist organisations, and partners to drive workload adoption at the frontier of what AWS can do.

Key job responsibilities

  • You build and pilot a pipeline of innovation opportunities across KSA and the GCC — working with account teams, specialists, and partners to proactively identify where generative AI and cloud-native architecture can unlock the most value.
  • You qualify with rigour. You ask the hard questions early — is there a real business outcome, a committed customer, a path to production? You invest resources where they matter and disqualify where they don't.
  • You scope engagements that set teams up for success — working backwards from customer outcomes to define crisp, time-boxed prototypes with clear success criteria.
  • You drive engagements from kickoff to close — coordinating customer developers, AWS architects, and partners, mitigating risk, and ensuring every engagement closes with demonstrated value and a concrete next step.
  • You are a trusted advisor to senior leaders — helping executives navigate generational technology shifts and make confident investment decisions.
  • You scale what works — packaging repeatable motions and sharing them across the PACE community worldwide.
  • You represent the customer internally — feeding engagement insights back into AWS service teams and product roadmaps.

A day in the life

You start with a standup — a customer's engineering team is two weeks into a generative AI prototype and needs your help unblocking a decision. Mid-morning, you're scoping a new engagement with a Saudi enterprise exploring agentic AI. After lunch you review your pipeline, update qualifications, and plan resourcing with your Prototyping Architect. Later, you're with a customer's CTO — they've seen prototype results and want to talk path to production. You finish the day writing up a repeatable pattern you spotted, something the wider PACE team could use.
