ACCIONA is currently looking for a Profilographer for BASA Airbase project located in Floridablance, Pampanga.

Job Description

• Operate profilograph/profiling equipment safely and correctly during pavement testing and measurement activities.
• Operate a California-type profilograph for concrete and asphalt pavement smoothness testing.
• Conduct pavement profile and smoothness measurements in accordance with project specifications and approved procedures.
• Perform pre-operation checks, equipment calibration, and basic troubleshooting.
• Ensure profiling equipment and sensors are properly set up before data collection.
• Monitor equipment readings and identify irregularities, abnormal measurements, or potential equipment issues.
• Record, organize, and maintain profiling data and field measurements.
• Prepare or assist in preparing profiling reports, measurement records, and other required documentation.
• Coordinate with Survey, QA/QC, Engineering, and Construction teams regarding testing schedules and results.
• Assist engineers in identifying pavement sections that may require correction or further investigation.
• Ensure that the latest project drawings, specifications, and testing requirements are followed.
• Maintain proper care, storage, and routine maintenance of profiling equipment.
• Follow all project HSE requirements and ensure safe working practices during field operations.
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Project/Construction Manager.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Graduate of Civil Engineering, Surveying, Engineering Technology, or a related technical course; relevant technical experience may be considered.
• Previous experience operating a profilograph for concrete pavement smoothness testing.
• Experience with airfield, highway or heavy-duty concrete pavement testing is highly desirable.
• Must have an Operator Training Certificate by a known certifying body.
• Ability to interpret profilograph/profile data and prepare testing reports.
• Good understanding of pavement smoothness requirements and testing procedures.
• Profilograph Operator the ability to obtain to obtin a certification by the equipment manufacturer or an authorized manufacturer's representative (to be coordinated by the contractor).
• Ability to work in accordance with U.S. project specifications and Quality Control requirements.
• Good English communication and reporting skills.
• Computer literate, particularly in MS Excel and data-recording/reporting applications.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in recording measurements.
• Willing to work on-site and under varying weather and project conditions.
