Introduction
As a Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving profitable growth for Glamox Marine, Offshore & Wind in Norway.
A major part of your role will be to identify, develop and convert new business opportunities – both with new customers and within market segments where Glamox has further growth potential. At the same time, you will develop strong, long-term relationships with customers and partners and strengthen Glamox's position across the value chain.
You will work closely with end customers, shipowners, operators, yards, contractors, engineering companies and distribution partners. Success in this role requires commercial drive, curiosity and the ability to understand both the customer's business and the technical requirements behind the solution.
Supported by the wider Glamox organisation, you will work closely with experienced colleagues across sales, projects, products and technical functions.
Your objective is clear: create new business, develop strategic customer positions and contribute to profitable and sustainable growth for Glamox.
What you'll do
- Proactively identify, develop and convert new business opportunities within the marine, offshore and energy markets.
- Build relationships with new customers and strengthen Glamox's position within existing accounts and market segments.
- Develop opportunities from early-stage customer dialogue and specification through quotation, negotiation and order.
- Drive sales through technical presentations, solution selling and commercially sound proposals.
- Understand customer operations, challenges and investment plans and translate these into relevant Glamox solutions.
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers, technical influencers, partners and other key stakeholders.
- Develop and execute account and market plans that create measurable sales growth.
- Maintain a strong and structured pipeline and take ownership of opportunities from identification to closing.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across sales, project management, product management and technical functions.
- Represent Glamox at customer meetings, industry events, conferences and exhibitions.
- Contribute market intelligence and customer insight to strengthen Glamox's commercial strategy.
Who you are
We are looking for someone who enjoys creating opportunities rather than waiting for them.
You combine commercial ambition with the ability to build credibility and long-term customer relationships. You are comfortable approaching new customers, navigating complex organisations and developing opportunities that may require persistence and structured follow-up over time.
Ideally, you have:
- Proven experience in B2B sales, business development or solution sales.
- Experience from the maritime, offshore, energy or industrial sectors.
- A strong commercial mindset and demonstrated ability to develop new business.
- Good technical understanding and the ability to sell technical products, systems or solutions.
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- The ability to identify key stakeholders and navigate complex customer organisations.
- A structured and proactive approach to pipeline and opportunity management.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- A high level of initiative, curiosity and accountability.
- A genuine motivation to create customer value and deliver results.
- Experience with lighting solutions is an advantage, but relevant experience from other technical or industrial solution environments is equally valuable.
Why join Glamox
At Glamox, you will join a global technology company with a strong position in some of the world's most demanding marine, offshore and energy markets.
You will have the opportunity to combine the strength of an established customer base and recognised brand with significant potential for further growth.
The role offers a high degree of trust, autonomy and influence. You will have the freedom to develop your market, pursue opportunities and help shape how Glamox strengthens its position with both new and existing customers.
You will also benefit from:
- A strong portfolio of products and solutions for demanding applications.
- Access to extensive technical and commercial expertise across the Glamox organisation.
- An international working environment with opportunities for professional development.
- A collaborative and experienced commercial organisation.
- A culture built on responsibility, customer focus and teamwork.
- Flexibility in how you organise your work.
- Offices at several locations across Norway, providing flexibility regarding workplace.
- Travel within Norway and occasionally internationally should be expected.
At Glamox, we believe different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences make us stronger, and we encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
