About the role

We are looking for an Engineer – Marine Analysis to join our engineering team in Arendal.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate or engineer with a few years of experience who wants to develop technical expertise in hydrodynamics and offshore engineering. You'll work alongside experienced specialists, applying engineering principles to analyse and design mooring, riser, cable and umbilical systems for floating offshore installations.

From concept studies and detailed engineering to offshore installation, you'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle while developing your technical skills through hands-on project work, mentoring and collaboration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform marine analysis and engineering design of mooring and riser systems.
  • Analyse vessel motions, hydrostatic stability and hydrodynamic behaviour.
  • Support concept studies, detailed engineering and project execution.
  • Contribute to offshore loading and CO₂ injection system design.
  • Assist in developing internal analysis tools and engineering methods.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers, clients and suppliers on technical solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

  • Master's degree (or PhD) in Hydrodynamics, Naval Architecture, Marine Structures or another relevant engineering discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in offshore engineering and marine analysis.
  • Interest in programming (Python, Fortran or similar).
  • Professional English.

Preferred

  • Relevant internship or industry experience in offshore, marine or renewable energy.
  • Experience with marine analysis software such as OrcaFlex, RIFLEX, SIMA, SIMO, WAMIT or similar.
  • Knowledge of floating offshore systems or hydrodynamic analysis.
  • Norwegian language skills are an advantage but are not required.
