Site Operations Department

The Site Operations Department is responsible for the overall health of all mechanical and electrical systems, building maintenance, and performance of all data modules in our data centers. This team is the face of Vantage to our customers and the guarantor of business continuity and operational excellence across our campuses, as well as the performance of customer installations. Using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan and track maintenance activities, the Site Operations Department is responsible for all preventive and corrective maintenance. The Capacity Planning and Scheduling Engineer is responsible for preparing maintenance schedules for all Vantage data centers, ensuring all critical events and work activities are properly tracked in real time. The role works closely with MCEs, CFEs, and Critical Facilities Support teams to prepare schedules, update work orders, and manage all preventive and planned maintenance activities within the ticketing system. The Capacity Planning and Scheduling Engineer is also responsible for conducting regular reviews and updates of power and cooling capacity across each site.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support on planning of preventive maintenance and planned maintenance work to critical facility system and customer operation.
  • Ensure all maintenance work order status update are properly tracked in real time.
  • Assist to collect the maintenance work data from the CMMS system and provide resource analysis and recommendation.
  • Assist to upgrade the maintenance record from paper form to CMMS electronic version with implementation.
  • Review Change Records, Work Orders, Service Plan Events, and associated schedules for upcoming planned critical work's approval.
  • Collect data for capacity review with deliver the capacity report on a monthly basis.
  • Review the operation efficiency of major equipment and system to predict the failure happen.
  • Work with MCE/CFE to support the site operation team and incident handling if require.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
  • 5-7 years working experience in building, electrical and / or HVAC operation and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of operating, maintaining, repairing, inspecting, and testing of electrical distribution systems including generators and UPS system, and or HVAC systems, and or Fire Systems and or building management/automation systems.
  • High level of computer literacy (mainly Word, Excel, and databases)
  • Prepared to work on a rotating 24/7 shift basis, weekends, public holidays and be available for emergency response
  • Prepared to wear PPE and working in extreme conditions
  • Hands-on experience in maintenance/repair on Facilities, Machinery or equivalent Familiar with maintaining schedules and working with vendors
  • Be assertive, committed, and able to perform multiple tasks independently and efficiently
  • Be a team player with good communication skills, able to interact with clients, consultants, subcontractors, Government authorities and team from all levels.
