This position is physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP

The Warehouse Specialist Jr reports to a Team Lead or Supervisor. Responsible to receive, store, inventory, and issue Government Materials/Property and compile stock records in the Warehouse. Operate Material Handling Equipment to move product as required.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

• Count, sort incoming material to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
• Examine stock to verify quantity or conformance to specifications. Store material in bins, on the floor, on shelves, or in containers according to identifying information.
• Fill orders or issue supplies from stock. Prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
• Use system reports to execute tasks, adjustments of inventory counts and stock location changes, damage, or shelf life.
• Prepares daily receipts, Issues, and others as required by the Performance Work Statement, IOP’s or Work Instructions.
• Mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles, using labeling equipment.
• Make adjustments to material carried in stock. May determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
• Move or transports material or supplies to other departments, using Pallet Jack, Forklift or industrial truck.
• Responsible for Physical Security of Sensitive and Pilferable Items and ensure they are stored in accordance with all Regulatory and local policy.
• Maintain inventory and other stock records, using computer terminal. Designated according to material, equipment, or product stored, i.e. Retail or wholesale items.
• Receive, store, and sort unserviceable equipment and supplies for disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal.

Experience:

0-1 years’ experience in Logistics and warehousing.

Skills

• Customer service training.
• Some warehousing experience.
• Material Handling Equipment (Fork Lift Operation, Pallet Jack, Hand Truck).
• Microsoft Office.
• Good math skills.
• Able to record data accurately.

Working Conditions:

Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures 85 degrees in the summer months).

Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard about ambient noise level.

The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.

Physical Requirements:

Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
