Executive - Logistics

Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.

The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Executive - Logistics. The position exists to manage and coordinate daily invoicing and dispatch-related activities for beverage finished goods, ensuring accurate and timely processing of sales invoices, credit notes, and stock transactions through the SAP ERP system. The role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting monthly stock counts, cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and ensuring FIFO compliance. The Logistics Executive works closely with Sales, Finance, Distribution, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the role monitors operational KPIs, maintains transaction records, ensures compliance with company procedures, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service excellence.

Job Responsibilities

• Process customer orders, create invoices in SAP, ensure timely and accurate transaction processing, and support daily dispatch requirements.
• Process credit notes accurately and promptly with the required approvals while ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
• Support monthly stock counts, cycle counts, variance investigations, stock reconciliations, and maintenance of inventory records in SAP.
• Ensure accurate posting of stock movements, adherence to FIFO practices, and proper management of inventory transactions to minimize stock-related risks.
• Coordinate with Sales, Distribution, Finance, Customer Care, and Warehouse teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and issue resolution.
• Ensure adherence to policies, maintain accurate reports, support audits, and participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Person Specifications

• Degree or Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain Management & Logistics Management, Warehouse Management, Store Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in warehouse and logistics operations.
• Sound knowledge of warehouse management, transportation management, and inventory control processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong planning, organizing, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of people management, health & safety standards, and continuous improvement practices with the ability to adapt to changing business requirements.
