What You'll Do

Staffing

  • Work with Nairobi Partners to achieve optimum deployment of consultants to projects.
  • Have knowledge of upcoming projects and expected staffing requirements. Assign staff to projects, proposals, other sales development work.
  • Work closely within the staffing team to match and balance the needs of the consultants with the project requirements.
  • Work closely with members of the Consulting Team to manage their staffing needs and advise them on upcoming projects and understand their goals and preferences.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date staffing profiles for the consulting team and sending out case team confirmations.
  • Support the Finance team with business forecasting and billability tracking.
  • Produce regular staffing reports to keep leadership updated.
  • Track and analyze key staffing metrics (e.g. utilization, deployment mix, staffing lead time), translating data into actionable insights for leadership decision-making.
  • Support new joiner onboarding, ensure timely staffing and integration into case teams.
  • Communicate the staffing process with Partners and consultants to maintain up-to date view of the project pipeline and the needs of the business.
  • Provide strategic input into the staffing process by identifying trends, risks, and emerging capacity needs, and recommending improvements to staffing policies and ways of working, in close partnership with the Staffing MDP.
  • Liaise with African counterparts to assist with Cross office staffing requests.
  • Work with training team to understand schedule and availability of staff.
  • Produce and update weekly reports.
  • Provide general holiday cover to HR Core team when required.
  • Support Career Development process – regular operations.
  • Prepare materials for career development meetings and support meeting logistics to ensure meetings run smoothly.
  • Attend Career Development meetings to provide staffing perspective on consultants and better understand their individual development needs, strengths and weaknesses.
  • Case feedback initiation and monitoring completeness.

What You'll Bring

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources, business or equivalent degree.
  • More than 3 years Generalist HR or Staffing experience preferred.
  • Experience providing a high level of customer service, managing highly confidential materials and administrative tasks.
  • Relevant experience in a professional services firm is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Fluent in English with effective oral and written communication skills.

This role sits within the staffing team, and you will report to the Staffing Partner.
