Key responsibilities

• SAP System Administration: Perform core Basis tasks like installation, configuration, upgrades, system copies, and performance tuning.
• Maintenance and Monitoring: Execute regular system maintenance, patching, and upgrades. Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability. Daily monitoring and highlight red flags.
• User and Role Management: Manage user creation, deletion, locking, and unlocking. Define and maintain user roles and authorizations according to security policies.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to the SAP environment and work with various teams to support business operations and projects.
• System Hardening and Security: Implement and maintain security standards across the SAP landscape. This includes system hardening, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and ensuring compliance with security policies and audit requirements.
• Transport Management: Manage the transport management system, often using tools like CHARM, ALM, to handle the movement of changes across different SAP environments.
• Support Fiori SSO/MFA activities, knowledge of Odata activation, cloud connection.
• This is primarily WORK FROM OFFICE ROLE..candidate should be ready for same.
• Basis regular tasks -Raising OSS to SAP, opening connection, keeping track and log of same, extracting audit/table logs and review of same and follow ITGC guidelines on same. Any other basis regular tasks.

Key requirements and skills

Technical Skills:

• Experience with SAP Basis/security/BTP administration for systems like ABAP and Java.
• Knowledge of SAP HANA, S/4HANA, and Solution Manager is often required or considered a plus.
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or UNIX.

Security Skills:

• Deep understanding of security best practices for SAP systems.
• Experience with security concepts like segregation of duties and password policies.
• Ability to perform security audits and ensure compliance.
• FUE and user access review management, ITGC control management and audit and controls management.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with functional and infrastructure teams.
• Ability to manage security requirements and contribute to the design of security solutions.
• Service and solution-oriented approach is a must.
• Handling any level of users in polite manner and able to handle pressure. Basis/Security is sometimes needed to be available off hours/weekends. GPL do have a work life balance a culture, however IT roles demand to be available in off hours so that business can run smooth.
