Overview
EMC Pilot
We are looking for an EMI/EMC Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in automotive electronics to support EMC design, testing, validation, and compliance activities. The candidate should possess hands-on expertise in automotive EMC standards, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and system-level EMC validation.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, analyze, and document EMI/EMC validation and compliance testing for automotive electronic systems and ECUs.
- Perform conducted/radiated emissions, immunity, ESD, and transient testing in accordance with automotive, OEM, and international EMC standards.
- Develop EMC requirements, test plans, procedures, reports, and technical documentation.
- Conduct EMC design reviews and support implementation of best practices related to PCB layout, grounding, shielding, filtering, harness routing, and EMC protection techniques.
- Investigate EMC test failures, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to meet compliance requirements.
- Support pre-compliance testing and provide design recommendations to improve EMC performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, system, mechanical, PCB, and validation) to resolve EMC-related issues throughout product development.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and external EMC test laboratories for validation and certification activities.
- Review EMC test results and provide technical recommendations for design improvements and compliance.
- Support product development from concept through production release, ensuring adherence to customer-specific, regulatory, and automotive EMC standards.
Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech/M.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, power electronics or related discipline.
Essential skills
- Hands-on experience in EMC chambers and vehicle-level EMC testing.
- Experience with hybrid/electric vehicle systems, battery management systems, or power electronics.
- Exposure to global automotive development processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and drive technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
