As a/an Asset Servicing Operations Income Associate in/within/as a part of the Markets Asset Servicing Operations Income team, you provide centralized asset servicing support across multiple products while managing day-to-day income events and depository reconciliation exceptions. You collaborate with trading, sales, finance, and other operations teams to resolve issues proactively and protect clients and the firm from operational and control risk. You lead delivery against agreed goals while strengthening processes, controls, and stakeholder outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day asset servicing income support across Prime Services, equities, and fixed income, including collection and payment of income events and claims.
- Monitor key performance indicators and key risk indicators to manage process health proactively.
- Coordinate timely and accurate reconciliation of cash and wash accounts and resolve breaks with appropriate stakeholders.
- Oversee service team coverage and execution to ensure work is completed in a controlled and timely manner.
- Escalate production-related issues promptly while ensuring continuity of service and driving resolution.
- Apply sound judgment and act with integrity to protect the firm, clients, and customers.
- Review end-to-end processes periodically to identify gaps and collaborate with control partners to remediate them.
- Maintain documented procedures and ensure adherence to policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Develop cross-training plans to build resilience and ensure critical functions have effective coverage.
- Partner with clients, custodians, agents, and third-party service providers to address depository reconciliation issues and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve client experience.
Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or an equivalent field.
- Bring 10+ years of experience in asset servicing or trade operations.
- Demonstrate ability to supervise daily operational activities for a team.
- Communicate effectively with senior management and escalate issues in a timely manner.
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, assess, and resolve complex operational issues.
- Use strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Prioritize workload to manage concurrent tasks and meet competing deadlines.
- Influence internal stakeholders through effective interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Operate effectively in a flexible and dynamic environment with continuous change.
- Exercise sound judgment to independently identify key issues, obtain relevant information for further analysis, and develop actionable recommendations.
Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
- Apply knowledge of data analytics techniques, tools, and technologies to support operational insight and exception management.
- Use automation and analytics tools such as Python, Alteryx, or Tableau to support process improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate experience driving change to improve team processes, delivery efficiency, and risk reduction.
- Provide developing experience using AI-powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational processes.
