The Community – Yigo, Guam Yigo is the island's largest and most northern village of the US territory of Guam, encompassing thirty-five square miles. Yigo is historically one of Guam's richest farming areas. During World War II, the village was the site of a concentration camp during Japanese occupation of the island. It was also the site of the island's final battle during the war. The South Pacific Memorial Peace Park was built by the Japanese Government and is dedicated to the many Japanese and American soldiers who died in the battle of Guam. Won Pat International Airport, also known as Guam International Airport, is the only commercial airport serving the US territory of Guam. Located just three miles east of the capital Hagåtña, it serves as a hub for both United Airlines and Asia Pacific Airlines, with over 40 daily flights connecting Guam to destinations primarily in Southeast Asia. About the Facility – Andersen Air Force Base Andersen AFB is located approximately 4 miles northeast of Yigo near Agafo Gumas in the United States territory of Guam. Also providing support services to Naval Base Guam, Andersen AFB was placed under the command of Joint Region Marianas. Anderson also provides peacetime and wartime support for aerospace forces in the Asian-Pacific theater.

(listed are included but not limited to) The LCSW coordinates appropriate referrals to community and other Government agencies for services. Independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and their family members and formulate and implement a treatment plan, identifying the patient’s problems, strengths, weaknesses, coping skills and assistance needed, in collaboration with the patient, family and interdisciplinary treatment team. Independently conduct psychosocial assessments and provide psychosocial treatment to a wide variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, educational and other diverse backgrounds. Use medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities and treatment procedures. This includes acute, chronic and traumatic illnesses/injuries, common medications and their effects/side effects, and medical terminology. The LCSW implements treatment modalities in working with individuals, families and groups who are experiencing a variety of psychiatric, medical and social problems to achieve treatment goals. Independently provide counseling and/or psychotherapy services to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Must practice within the bounds of the license or certification. Provide consultation services to other staff about the psychosocial needs of patients and the impact of psychosocial problems on health care and compliance with treatment. The LCSW participates in professional peer review case conferences, research studies, or other organizations required at the MTF.
Degree/Education: Master’s degree in social work (MSW). Education: Graduate from a School of Social Work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Certifications - Basic Life Support (BLS) Experience: As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service-specific credentialing instructions. Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a licensed clinical social worker.
