HUMAN AND ASSET RESOURCE MANAGER

Our client is a pharmaceutical manufacturing company committed to maintaining high standards of product quality, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and employee development.
Scope
The Human & Asset Resource Manager will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of human resource activities while overseeing the effective utilisation, tracking, and reporting of company assets. The role will ensure that HR practices, workforce planning, performance management, and resource utilisation align with business objectives and applicable Ghanaian labour, FDA, WHO, and GMP requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies for technical and non-technical positions.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, oversee employee onboarding, induction, and succession planning.
- Manage employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflicts in line with company policies and applicable labour regulations.
- Promote a positive, productive, and compliant workplace environment.
- Develop and implement employee performance appraisal systems aligned with organisational objectives and GMP requirements.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to measure employee productivity, compliance, and efficiency.
- Identify employee skill and competency gaps and coordinate appropriate training and development programmes.
- Build relationships with universities, professional bodies, and training institutions for specialised learning opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with the Ghana Labour Act and applicable FDA, WHO, and GMP requirements.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation to ensure audit readiness.
- Oversee the tracking, utilisation, maintenance, and reporting of company assets and ensure effective allocation and utilisation of resources.
- Implement and maintain digital systems to improve HR and asset management processes.
- Provide workforce data and advise management on workforce planning, organisational development, employee performance, and HR-related matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive HR management experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or manufacturing sector.
- Professional certification such as CIPD, SHRM, or IHRMP Ghana is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Ghanaian labour laws, HR policies, and regulatory compliance.
- Practical understanding of WHO/GMP requirements and their application within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using HRIS and digital HR management systems.
- Strong knowledge of performance management, employee relations, recruitment, training, and workforce planning.
- Strong analytical, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively engage with employees and management at all levels.
