Job Description

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing the commercial and QS team across a major infrastructure workstream (Asset Delivery), executing the direction of the commercial strategy and applies rigorous commercial governance of cost, change, and performance.
  • Commercial team in the preparation of various commercial reports, as directed by commercial leads, whilst driving proactive management of commercial risks.
  • Acting as the senior commercial interface with key suppliers, project managers, and key stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and leading the assessment of supplier KPIs to ensure performance aligns with contractual expectations.
  • Owning the forecasts for each of the suppliers (prepared by your team) and the holistic position. Key to have a solid understanding of forecasting and cost management process, liabilities, accruals, etc.

You’ll need to have:

  • Post-Contract Focus: Significant experience in delivering and leading month end process including payments, forecasting, liabilities, accruals, etc.
  • Educated to degree level in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • MRICS qualified or equivalent qualification (or working towards)
  • Evidence of on-going management development and relevant personal development.
  • Experience in similar role at a similar level in major infrastructure projects.
  • Experienced working across complex matrix teams.
  • Success at creating an aligned culture focussed on high performance.
  • Adept in use of standard forms of contract and implementing commercial strategies.
  • Management of small teams of quantity surveyors is essential.
  • Stakeholder management in a complex matrix environment.
