As a Senior Client Accounting Executive based in Guernsey, you'll play an important role in supporting insurance and captive clients with accounting, regulatory, and financial reporting activities. You'll work closely with clients, boards of directors, regulators, and professional advisers to provide complete, accurate, and timely financial information. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of responsibilities while continuing to develop your technical expertise and professional career within a collaborative team environment. You'll join a business that is united by a commitment to one another's growth, ethical conduct, and the pursuit of shared goals.
In this role, you'll help clients meet their financial, regulatory, and governance obligations by managing accounting activities and ensuring key reporting deadlines are achieved. You'll prepare management accounts, statutory financial statements, budgets, forecasts, tax returns, and regulatory filings while maintaining accurate accounting records and company documentation. You'll build relationships with regulators, auditors, banks, investment managers, legal advisers, and other stakeholders, helping to coordinate important activities and provide clear financial information to boards and clients. You'll also contribute to board meetings, provide updates on financial and compliance matters, and support treasury and company secretarial activities. As a senior member of the team, you'll help drive high standards across the client accounting function, identify ways to improve processes and systems, and contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment where colleagues can learn and grow together.
Here's what you'll bring to the role: You're working towards, or have completed, a professional accountancy qualification. You can prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, budgets, and forecasts. You can explain financial and regulatory information clearly to clients, board members, advisers, and colleagues. You have experience managing competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy across multiple workstreams. You can work with accounting standards and financial reporting requirements such as UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS, or similar frameworks. You can prepare or support tax and regulatory filings and maintain accurate records and documentation. You have experience working with regulators, auditors, banks, legal advisers, or other professional stakeholders. You pay close attention to detail when reviewing financial information, documentation, and compliance requirements. You can identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and ways of working. You contribute positively to team goals and support a culture built on ethics, accountability, and respect for others.
