Job Description

At Digicel Pacific, we’re on the lookout for dynamic individuals to join our expanding team. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Manager HR - Hub/Nauru to join our Human Resources Department Team at the Nabua Office, reporting to the Group Chief People Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth and innovation!

As an HR Manager, you are expected to support the Chief People Officer, and the entire HR team, in delivering the HR agenda across the market, and supporting our employee requirements in a professional, effective, accurate, timely, and efficient manner.

Core responsibilities:

HR Administration and HRIS Management

  • Update, maintain, and execute accurate data in the HRIS together with the HR Business Partner, including starters, leavers, transfers, position changes, next of kin details, employee locations, staff contact listings.
  • Manage the DCRL staff headcount list, ensuring all employee movements and changes are accurately reflected and communicated to the HR team.
  • Compile and submit monthly HR reports detailing activities, employment movements, achievements, and challenges.
  • Ensure that employee contracts remain current, and coordinate contract amendments as approved/required.

Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure all pre-employment requirements are completed prior to appointment.
  • Communicate new hire announcements to all staff.
  • Manage offboarding processes and ensure adherence to leaver procedures, including communication with HR, payroll, and relevant departments.
  • Manage immigration requirements and support expatriate employees with work permit and visa processes.

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition

  • Support the HR Business Partner and Chief People Officer in recruitment and appointment processes.
  • Source high-potential applicants through networking, LinkedIn, referrals, and other appropriate channels.
  • Ensure timely and professional communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.

Payroll and Benefits/Grant Administration

  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll advice to the Payroll Team on a fortnightly basis.
  • Support employee-related administrative requests, including bank letters and other letters requested by staff, in a timely manner.
  • Partner with the HR Business Partner to coordinate training grant requirements, including training plans and grant claim submissions.
  • Liaise with the Learning and Development team to ensure compliance with grant administration requirements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with internal departments, external vendors, and government agencies regarding HR-related administrative matters.
  • Coordinate HR-related invoices, payments, cheque requests, permits, and other administrative requirements.
  • Respond promptly to routine correspondence and employee enquiries.

Employee Relations

  • Lead disciplinary and grievance management processes in partnership with the Chief People Officer.
  • Ensure all grievances are logged appropriately, escalated, and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and monitor the performance review process and related bonus administration.

General

  • Be accountable for the successful delivery of agreed performance objectives.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Academic qualifications, Experience required for this role:

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.

Experience

  • 5+ years minimum experience in Human Resources.
  • Report writing and KPI experience.
  • Further experience required in project management or HR system leadership experience with proven demonstrated responsibility for development and implementation of strategic plans is required.
  • Strong technology skills, including experience with system implementation, enhancement, and working knowledge of HR operations.
  • Experience with HR systems: Success Factors, Pay Global, would be an advantage.
