At Verston our ambition is bold: to grow from an Estonian success story into a leading European infrastructure company shaping sustainable mobility and communities.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Controller to strengthen financial visibility and business performance across Verston Group.
You will work closely with Group CFO Indrek Kaldoja and the Chief Accountant Ene Mägi and business units senior managers. You will be responsible for:
- Preparing and analysing monthly management reporting, identifying key performance drivers, deviations and risks.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning across the Group.
- Analysing business unit, project and Group-level profitability and helping management understand the underlying drivers.
- Developing financial models, scenarios and business cases to support investment and strategic decisions.
- Partnering with business leaders to translate financial information into concrete management actions.
- Monitoring key financial and operational KPIs and proactively highlighting emerging risks and opportunities.
- Supporting cash flow, working capital and cost-efficiency analysis.
- Contributing to the development of Group controlling principles, processes and reporting standards.
- Improving management reporting through automation, digitalisation and better use of data.
- Supporting integration of new businesses and markets into Verston Group’s financial planning and reporting framework.
What makes you exceptional
You are analytical, commercially minded and curious about how the business actually works. Also comfortable moving between detailed financial analysis and discussions with senior management. You challenge assumptions constructively, ask the right questions and are able to identify what is truly driving business performance.
You do not see controlling as producing reports. You see it as helping the organisation make better decisions and improve profitability. You enjoy building structures in an environment that is growing and changing, and you are proactive in improving tools, processes and ways of working.
You bring:
- Experience in controlling, FP&A, business finance or a similar role, preferably in a project-based, construction, infrastructure or industrial environment.
- Experience with management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis.
- Solid understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow dynamics.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Ability to work confidently with senior leaders and challenge business assumptions when needed.
- Ability to explain complex financial information clearly to stakeholders without a finance background.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI, and reporting tools; Power BI experience is an advantage.
- A proactive approach to using technology, automation and AI to make financial processes faster and more insightful.
- Experience working in an international Group environment is an advantage.
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
Why Verston:
- Professional leadership team that values expertise and initiative.
- Opportunity to shape Group-wide financial processes and support international expansion.
- Competitive compensation.
- Modern and cozy workplace in Ülemiste City with parking compensation.
- Flexible work arrangements, health benefits, extra paid time off, team events, and more.
