Responsibilities

• Ensure the effectiveness of maintenance activities and the repair of equipment within the factory.
• Ensure that production lines operate at full efficiency and that planned downtime is carried out at appropriate times when performing electrical maintenance for any malfunction.
• Carry out preventive maintenance activities to improve equipment productivity.
• Analyze production and quality results daily and take corrective actions without affecting production line schedules.
• Ensure safe operating conditions in the factory and secure all main and sub cables, electrical panels, and distribution stations.
• Ensure the availability of all required spare parts while considering budget and working capital objectives in order to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain updated backup copies of software for all PLCs and drives/converters to avoid unexpected failures.
• Develop the annual overhaul plan for required equipment.
• Record all requirements needed to comply with standards associated with AIB, ERP, EMS, and sustainability programs.
• Actively participate in committees related to new projects.
• Develop the electrical knowledge of the team through continuous exposure to new technologies.
• Maintain records for all machines and track the documentation of equipment breakdowns and faults.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institute.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
• Knowledge of automation/control fundamentals, electronics, instrumentation, and equipment operation processes. Good knowledge of PLC programming is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Fluency in both spoken and written English and Arabic.
