Your role

  • Operate an ultra-precision diamond turning machine to manufacture optical molds in optical quality, including setup, basic programming/parameter input, and in-process checks.
  • Perform measurement tasks using a wide portfolio of metrology devices (e.g., surface profilers, interferometers, coordinate or form measuring systems) to verify optical and geometrical specifications.
  • Support in routine measurement tasks.
  • Prepare, mount, and handle workpieces and tools, ensuring cleanliness and proper clamping/fixturing.
  • Document manufacturing parameters, measurement results, and deviations in a structured way.
  • Support troubleshooting of process and measurement issues.
  • Contribute to the maintenance, calibration, and basic care of diamond turning and metrology equipment.

Your Profile

  • Professional experience in an optical, mechanical, or electronics laboratory or workshop environment.
  • Prior exposure to precision manufacturing or metrology equipment is highly desirable.
  • Fundamental understanding of optics, mechanics, and precision manufacturing principles.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory or workshop instruments, such as alignment tools, microscopes, and measuring devices.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for basic data processing and analysis. NC programming is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong mathematical skills for interpreting measurement results and tolerances.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a structured, meticulous, and reliable manner, with a pronounced hands-on approach.
  • Proficient in English.
