You will be responsible for ensuring the execution of HSE programs and plans for the implementation of the Company’s Management Systems, advise and update on all matters related to HSE and support in the coordination of all HSE activities.

Main responsibilities:
- Provide support and advice on environmental health and safety laws and regulations requirements, to set the HSE activities aligned with the HSE local and international requirements.
- Conduct periodic HSE audits and inspections, formal Incident / Accident Investigations reviews and preparation of supporting documentation.
- Advise on the requirements of HSE Plans, training programs that prepares, assists in the preparation of estimates for HSE aspects of projects.
- Ensure that Contractors’ HSE activities are in accordance with Company’s policies and procedures, interfacing with Project HSE Team and visiting the sites.
- Ensure that HSE rules, supporting procedures, work instructions, etc. are implemented satisfactorily and followed on a day-to-day basis.
- Maintain internal communications and relations with the staff and technical departments regarding HSE subject matter.
- Prepare all the HSE reports requested by Eni Headquarters filling in the HSE Database.
- Analyse HSE performance, regulatory permits parameters and provides professional recommendations for continuous improvement to achieve goals and objectives.
- Capture “Lessons Learnt” from incident / accident and near-miss, and present proposals for corrective or preventive measures within the organisation.
- Serve as point of contact with various governmental regulatory agencies on HSE issues and submit monthly, quarterly & annual reports to regulatory agencies.
- Assuring that the Contractors complies with timely submissions of necessary data for preparation of the monthly / quarterly / annual HSE Statistical data providing relevant advice.
- To maintain emergency preparedness and response capability with procedures duly tailored to the company’s organization and activities, in compliance with company policies and standards.
- To support in the liaising with relevant Government bodies, partners and other oil companies to promote strong health, safety and environment policies and activities to ensure a continued high level of focus on HSE issues.
- To support on the preparation of necessary project budget.
Skills and experience required:
- Good communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to write effective reports.
- Ability to work in team environments, communicate, understand and work within the dynamics of a multi-functional and multi-location environment.
- Ability to lead and coach international and national staff.
- Capacity to integrate within an international and national workforce.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and ability to educate and persuade personnel to observe safety rules.
- Supervisory abilities and planning capacity to individualise critical path.
- Team and self-motivation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Safety, Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Experience in Oil & Gas Industry, HSE operations.
- Knowledge of local and international codes and regulations regarding HSE requirements.
- Computer literate.
- Fluent written and spoken English.

- Annual Gross Salary starts from €36,000. Placement within this range may vary depending on the candidate’s seniority level, professional experience and specific skill set.
