Job Description

Customer Service Representative

Sandvik Mining and Construction RDC is a business unit based in Lubumbashi, part of Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, a business area and leading supplier of equipment, tools, services, and support for the mining industry. We also provide solutions and expertise across a wide range of applications such as rock drilling, rock cutting, loading and hauling, tunnelling, and quarrying.

Your profile

  • Collaborate with inventory planners and secure replenishment stock for customers
  • Provide customer support for Sandvik over-the-counter (OTC) parts sales, as well as technical assistance and inquiries as needed
  • Support the achievement of sales targets by ensuring all orders are processed and completed in accordance with current guidelines
  • Respond to all incoming customer calls/emails in a professional manner
  • Receive, process, and expedite parts orders and customer inquiries
  • Handle customer complaints and liaise with the manager to ensure appropriate action is taken
  • Educate customers about the products/services available to them
  • Identify potential customer needs and business development opportunities
  • Handle imports

Your mission

We are looking for a Congolese citizen with a bachelor's degree, solid experience in a similar role, or relevant industrial and mining expertise. You have experience in a customer service role, flexibility, adaptability to change, and strong communication skills.

To succeed in this role, you must have a good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failures on the cost of poor quality. As we operate in a global context, you must already be fluent in both English and French, written and spoken, and have computer literacy.
