Marketing Communications (Marcom) is the creatively led global team that oversees Apple’s consumer-facing marketing. We ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications across all media and platforms. Every day, hundreds of millions of Apple customers around the world interact with our products. We drive the strategy and creative work that deliver simple, engaging, and inspiring marketing experiences to both new and existing customers. The Senior Brand Strategist is pivotal to developing and delivering high-impact strategic initiatives tailored for the market. This role shapes how Apple articulates core product narratives that resonate deeply with local customers, bridging global brand ambition with cultural nuances.

DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Brand Strategist in Marcom Greater China, you will set the strategic backbone underpinning Apple’s product launches, locally originated campaigns, and signature brand initiatives. Operating within a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, you will navigate dynamic market challenges, inspire creative innovation, and shape the future trajectory of Apple’s marketing communications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of strategic planning experience within leading creative agencies, brand consultancies, or client-side global brand marketing teams.
  • Experience across the full strategic spectrum, spanning business and brand strategy, consumer research, insight synthesis, and integrated communications planning.
  • Proven track record of independently authoring inspiring creative briefs and shaping high-impact strategic platforms for Greater China initiatives.
  • Mastery in written, visual, and verbal storytelling, with the presence to engage and influence multidisciplinary teams.
  • Full professional fluency in written and spoken Mandarin and English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise in the consumer electronics and tech landscape.
  • Native fluency in China’s social and digital ecosystem (Douyin, rednote, Bilibili).
  • Ability to synthesize complex, ambiguous inputs into sharp, actionable strategic points of view.
  • Strong cultural antennae, with an innate curiosity for pop culture, design, and innovation.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build alignment across diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Advanced Keynote storytelling craft and active fluency with AI productivity workflows.
