Job Summary:

This entry level/early career professional, engineering service focused position includes those who develop and maintain the information technologies, functional excellence or product information change management that enables the engineering practitioners to work more efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Applies technical information and knowledge based activities, fulfills work requests to standardized policies and procedures and documents results. Applies and supports information processes such as Engineering Standard Work (ESW), Value Package Introduction (VPI), product change management and data repositories such as technical information libraries, all required to meet the needs of practitioners within the technical function. Obtains input and negotiates with a broad variety of technical practitioners to deliver results that directly or indirectly enable high quality processes, tools, drawings or specifications. Applies academic knowledge and existing experience to take action and make decisions that progress projects forward without sacrificing project quality expectations. Owns problem resolution for moderately complex components, products, systems, subsystems or services with technical complexity and ambiguity increasing as experience is gained in the role. Provides independent execution of established work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge; engages with the improvement of systems and processes Involves minimal direct management of people, but could involve the coordination and direction of work amongst technicians and/or temporary student employees. Contributes effectively toward team goals, exhibits influence within a work group and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or appropriate STEM field is required. Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Entry level/Early career professional. Preferred candidates would have relevant experience working in an information systems or engineering service environment as a non-exempt employee, temporary student employee (intern, co-op) or an early career professional in a relevant technical discipline area. Knowledge of MS Office tools is also preferred.

Job Title – Product Configuration Specialist

We are looking for a talented TECHNICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS ENGINEER to join our team specializing in Global Sales Enablement Tools.

(On-Site with Flexibility Role): This role will require a minimum of 60% on-site activity but does not require daily site visits. Home location will be within Wuhan, China.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Responsible for Developing product configurations in the Sales Force environment – including co-ordination with cross functional teams to get the product specification requirements and convert it into product configuration rules.
• Making data-based decisions on project and product configuration and communicating them to stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze system issues and resolve them in speculated time.
• Apply and improve upon current product configuration development and work processes.
• Utilize and improve upon functional excellence practices and Global Sales Enablement tools.
• Deliver support and guidance to lesser experienced engineers or students.
• Support and guide the project team for delivering new product configurations.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology required.
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in Sales Force CPQ or Oracle Configurator or equivalent Sales tools.
• Familiarity with Windchill PLM, SQL is preferred.
• Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with MS Office, Power BI.
