Job Description

We are looking for a Sales Operations Specialist to join our Sales Operations team and support the continued growth and evolution of our commercial organization.

This role will initially focus on Deal Desk operations, developing a strong understanding of our commercial processes, quoting and order workflows, policies, systems, and cross-functional dependencies. As the individual builds expertise and demonstrates proficiency, the role will progressively expand into broader Sales Operations initiatives, including process improvement, analytics, sales planning, technology optimization, and strategic projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving operational problems, working cross-functionally, and developing a deep understanding of how a SaaS business operates.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Desk & Commercial Operations

  • Review and process sales orders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established commercial policies and processes.
  • Identify order defects or process issues and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them.
  • Support the creation and processing of orders that cannot be completed through standard quoting or pricing workflows.
  • Provide day-to-day support to Sales, Customer Success, Partner teams, and other internal stakeholders on quoting, ordering, and commercial processes.
  • Develop expertise in pricing, quoting, approvals, order management, and the overall quote-to-order process.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for questions related to commercial processes and policies.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, rework, defects, and unnecessary process complexity.
  • Help document, standardize, and improve Sales Operations workflows and procedures.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of operational issues and implement scalable solutions.
  • Support automation initiatives that improve Sales and Partner productivity.
  • Help ensure processes can scale as transaction volumes and business complexity increase.

Reporting, Analytics & Business Insights

  • As proficiency in the commercial process develops:
  • Support the development and maintenance of key Sales and GTM performance metrics.
  • Assist with dashboards, reporting, and analysis used to manage the business.
  • Analyze operational and sales data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Move beyond reporting what happened to helping the organization understand why it happened and what actions should be taken.
  • Support efforts to provide more predictive and forward-looking visibility to Sales leadership.

Sales Operations & Strategic Initiatives

  • Over time, participate in broader Sales Operations initiatives such as:
  • Sales planning and regional planning.
  • Quota and commission administration.
  • GTM technology and Sales Operations systems initiatives.
  • Direct Sales process and customer journey development.
  • Partner and Sales productivity initiatives.
  • QBR and business performance reviews.
  • New product, market, or commercial program launches.
  • AI and automation initiatives within GTM workflows.
  • Cross-functional strategic initiatives involving Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Marketing, Product, and other teams.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, Business Operations, Finance, Sales Support, or a related function.
  • Experience working in a SaaS, technology, or other recurring-revenue business is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage transaction-oriented work accurately.
  • Ability to understand business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Comfortable working with CRM, quoting, reporting, and other business systems.
  • Strong Excel or equivalent spreadsheet skills; experience with BI/reporting tools is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple teams and functional areas.
  • Comfortable operating in an environment where processes and priorities continue to evolve.

You are a great fit for this position if:

  • You combine strong attention to detail and operational discipline with curiosity and a continuous-improvement mindset.
  • You learn new processes and systems quickly and take the time to understand the “why” behind how a process works.
  • You have strong analytical skills and can move from analyzing data and trends to making clear, actionable recommendations.
  • You demonstrate sound judgment and maturity and can make thoughtful decisions when processes or policies do not provide an obvious answer.
  • You are comfortable working independently, while collaborating effectively with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • You can manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy or follow-through.
  • You naturally look for opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual work, automate repetitive activities, and improve scalability.
  • You identify problems, investigate root causes, and propose solutions rather than simply escalating issues.
  • You can build credibility and trusted relationships with stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
  • You are interested in developing a strong understanding of SaaS commercial and transactional processes across CRM, quoting, ordering, and related systems.
  • Experience working with partner or VAR-based sales models is a plus.
  • Most importantly, you have the interest and potential to grow from transactional Sales Operations work into process improvement, analytics, technology, and broader strategic Sales Operations initiatives.
