What is the Opportunity?

The QA Engineer II (Intermediate Level) is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise banking applications through a combination of manual and automated testing. The role involves validating backend processes, APIs, system integrations, and file-based data exchanges while ensuring end-to-end functionality, data integrity, and application performance. The engineer will collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Data Engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks for web, API, backend, and integration testing.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for enterprise banking applications.
• Perform API, database, backend, and event-driven system validation.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and track defects, working closely with Engineering and Product teams.
• Create reusable automation assets and improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
• Monitor quality metrics and proactively identify testing risks.
• Contribute to performance, scalability, and reliability testing.
• Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Adopt modern automation tools and AI-assisted testing practices to enhance engineering efficiency.

Who We Are Looking For

3–5 years of experience in software testing, preferably within the banking, financial services, or fintech domain. Strong expertise in test automation, with demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks, rather than simply executing automated test cases. Hands-on experience with:

• UI Test Automation: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent frameworks.
• API Testing: Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
• Database Testing: SQL and backend/data validation.
• CI/CD & Continuous Testing: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
• Performance Testing & Engineering.
• Event-Driven Systems: Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Cloud-Native Applications: Preferably Azure and Kubernetes.
