Now operating under the Bureau Veritas brand, we combine the strength of a global leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification with best-in-class Advisory, Assurance and Project Delivery services.

We help clients shape the buildings of tomorrow, from early concept and master planning through delivery and ongoing operations, delivering value across the entire asset lifecycle.

Based in Melbourne or Sydney? Ready for your next career-defining move?

Bureau Veritas is seeking an inspiring and commercially astute Project Director to join our Buildings Project Management team in Perth, Western Australia.

This opportunity is ideal for an established project leader currently working in Melbourne or Sydney who is looking to take the next step in their career, broaden their impact, and play a key leadership role in one of Australia's most dynamic construction and development markets.

As Project Director, you will help shape the future of our Buildings business in Western Australia, leading major projects, growing client relationships, developing high-performing teams, and influencing the built environment across the state.

Why Consider Perth?

Perth offers the opportunity to combine career growth with lifestyle. With a strong pipeline of building and infrastructure investment, a thriving property sector, shorter commutes, and access to some of Australia's most spectacular natural landscapes, there's never been a better time to make the move west.

  • Take accountability for project performance, client satisfaction, and successful delivery against contractual obligations.
  • Manage programme performance, including delay mitigation and extension of time assessments.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping inform key project and investment decisions.
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of Project Managers and Senior Project Managers.
  • Foster collaboration across Bureau Veritas' multidisciplinary advisory, assurance, and technical service teams.
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of our Buildings business across Western Australia.
  • Represent Bureau Veritas in the market with credibility, integrity, and professionalism.

About You

You are a respected project leader with extensive experience delivering complex buildings projects within a consultancy and/or client-side environment and are ready to step into a strategic, market-facing leadership role.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering, architecture, project management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Director or equivalent level leader.
  • Strong technical project management expertise across the full project lifecycle.
  • Proven success managing project financial performance, contractual obligations, and commercial outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of the consultancy environment, governance frameworks, and client expectations.
  • A passion for developing people and building engaged, high-performing teams.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
