Robertson Health Centre is located within Robertson Barracks in Holtze, approximately 15 km east of Darwin. The facility supports approximately 2,800 Defence personnel, along with a significant Reserve component. The Barracks also host an additional 2,500 US Marines on a rotational basis from May to September each year. The Health Centre provides comprehensive services including primary medical, pharmaceutical, dental, physiotherapy, and mental health care, and operates a 22-bed, 24/7 inpatient ward. Standard operating hours are 7:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

What you’ll do

Deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence members. Conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care. Undertaking assessments, interventions, managing medications, formulating treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions. Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount.

What you bring

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• One of the following:
• ACMHN credentialed
• Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
• Mental Health trained nurse / UK trained undergraduate Mental Health Nurse
• Minimum two years’ Post RN general registration experience within last five years in mental health within a Primary Healthcare Setting or Specialist Mental Health Setting
• Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’ and ‘Psychological Therapy’ as per Medicare Schedule
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
• Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
• Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
