How you’ll make an impact:
Marketing Management:
- Business planning and implementation - expense budget management and subsequently formulate, implement, evaluate and refine business strategies in line with annual sales and marketing plan.
- Forecasting – prepare rolling marketing, sales, product and expense forecasts on monthly and quarterly basis.
- Communicate strategic programs and impact of these during sales meetings and operational meetings
Strategic Market Development:
- Therapy Awareness Program – Create and implement the ANZ therapy awareness program to promote therapy as a viable therapeutic option for patients.
- Digital Management – Work with stakeholders across the business (local & global) and external 3rd party partners to develop establish and maintain digital marketing efforts in ANZ.
- Corporate brand management – in consultation with local and global ANZ sales business unit partners develop and implement a local brand plan to position Edwards as clear market leaders in the therapy as assigned in ANZ with local stakeholders including health care providers, government agencies and payers.
- Product Portfolio management – in consultation with local and global ANZ sales business unit partners develop product-based strategies to ensure that specific products have a clear path to commercialization and are marketed in a professional and competitive manner in ANZ.
- Business and market intelligence – collect, monitor and share information regarding new opportunities, products, procedural numbers, market dynamics and competitive activities within the specific sales business unit market with Business Unit Director.
- Ensure that all marketing activities comply with government regulations/ Acts, legal demands and safety and ethical standards.
External/ Internal Relationships:
- Develop relationships with key opinion leaders to promote Edward’s leading position in the market and broaden and enhance the current list of KOL’s within the region.
- Partner with key thought leaders to anticipate the future market environment, changes in economic climate, the onset of new competitors to predict/drive future needs for current and future customers and communicate and incorporate findings into marketing plan.
- Effectively interact with local and regional departments including, Marketing Communication, Logistics, Regulatory Affairs / Quality Assurances, Manufacturing and Customer Service as required.
- Represents the business unit on projects as needed.
Pricing:
- Assist Business Unit Director to develop and implement the pricing strategy which meets or exceeds profit margin targets.
- Adhere to the price deviation procedure to ensure price control.
- Oversee tendering process and pricing Strategies
Marginal:
- Carry out all duties in a safety conscience manner
- Demonstrate the factors that make up the Edwards Lifesciences Credo
- Carry out any other lawful duty / task asked of you within the company guidelines and within the company’s quality and compliance policies and guidelines.
Ad hoc Projects:
- Support APAC ad hoc projects and initiatives on an as-needed basis, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive regional business objectives.
What you'll need (Required):
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required; Master's degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Cardiology, including procedures, disease states, and customer landscape across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), is highly advantageous
- Proven marketing experience within the healthcare industry is required.
- Prior marketing experience in the medical device industry is preferred.

- Proven experience in successfully run internal and external symposia / educational events
- Experience in developing current and future key opinion leader engagement strategies
- Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
- Ability to lead and influence others to support specific business objectives.
- Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
