We’re on the hunt for an Assistant Store Manager to join the leadership team at Hype DC Charlestown, this isn’t just another retail leadership role.

Located in the heart of Charlestown Square, the largest shopping and entertainment destination in the Hunter Region, this is an opportunity to lead in one of the area’s biggest and most exciting retail environments.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll be a key business leader, working alongside your Store Manager and Area Manager to build an incredible team, create unforgettable customer experiences, drive commercial results and bring the Hype DC brand vision to life.

The role & responsibilities

As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

• Creating a WORLD CLASS team and a MAGICAL VIBE within your store
• Supporting the leadership of a multimillion-dollar business and driving financial sales goals and KPIs
• Bringing the Hype DC brand vision and strategy to life every day
• Putting our customer at the centre of every decision and delivering MEMORABLE experiences 100% of the time
• Creating a people-first culture by empowering, coaching and developing your team
• Providing regular coaching, support and feedback to drive performance and results
• Supporting recruitment, selection and onboarding of new team members
• Delivering a seamless omni-channel experience through the preparation and fulfilment of online orders
• Ensuring your store is best in class through Visual Merchandising excellence
• Maintaining an environment that is fun, energetic and safe for both customers and team members
• Working closely with your Store Manager and Area Manager to identify opportunities and accelerate business growth

• Has previous Retail Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager experience in a fast-paced environment

• Thinks strategically and can identify missed opportunities to drive sales and KPIs
• Has a proven track record of achieving commercial results
• Is confident managing rosters and delivering strong wage control
• Loves working with people, thrives under pressure and brings positive energy to every shift
• Has a genuine passion for sneakers, streetwear, culture and the Hype DC brand
