Duties & Responsibilities

Company and Job Description: A rapidly growing international financial technology organisation is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join its South African finance team. The business operates across international markets and uses technology, automation, and data-driven processes to deliver innovative financial solutions. The South African finance team works closely with international stakeholders, offering excellent exposure to global finance operations. This is an ideal opportunity for a technically strong accountant who is comfortable working independently, enjoys technology, and wants the flexibility of a fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full financial accounting function
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
• Process journals and manage month-end close
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Support audit and statutory reporting requirements
• Analyse financial information and provide meaningful insights
• Work closely with international finance and operational stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate finance processes

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Qualifications: BCom Accounting essential

Experience: Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience. Strong financial accounting experience. International or multinational exposure advantageous. Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Skills & Systems: Xero essential. Advanced Microsoft Excel. Cloud-based accounting systems. Strong reporting and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail. Comfortable working with technology and automation.

Working Hours & Model:

16:00 - 24:00 / 02:00 Fully remote
