Job Advert Summary
Our business analysts sit at the centre of the software development process, understanding business needs and coordinating the solutions that address them. The role draws on strong analytical skills, stakeholder management, and requirements engineering, backed by enough technical and domain knowledge for the analyst to act as a genuine bridge between the business and the development team. You will help shape software used to manage physical assets, maintenance operations and engineering processes. You will work where engineering, data, business systems, user experience and software development meet—turning real operational challenges into clearly defined digital solutions.
This is not a traditional administrative business analyst role. It is an opportunity to apply your engineering mindset in a technology environment, work with experienced product and development teams, and gain exposure to enterprise software, AI-assisted analysis, data, prototyping and modern product development. The business analyst’s job is to make sure that whatever gets designed and delivered genuinely meets the needs of stakeholders and clients. That means developing a thorough understanding of business requirements, researching how others are addressing the requirements and then following a structured process to turn them into clear business requirements and functional specifications.
Increasingly, this process is AI-assisted: analysts use these tools to speed up documentation, explore possible solutions, and build lightweight prototypes that let stakeholders validate requirements before they reach the development team. At On Key, you will join a team where individuals are recognised, valued and given room to grow. Our hybrid working environment encourages work-life balance. You will work on meaningful software used to improve the performance and reliability of real-world assets and operations.
The role offers early-career exposure to:
- Enterprise software product development
- Engineering and maintenance management
- Data analysis and systems integration
- Artificial intelligence and agent-assisted workflows
- User experience and rapid prototyping
- Agile product and software delivery
- Collaboration with experienced engineering, product and technology professionals
If you want to use your engineering education beyond conventional design work and help turn complex operational challenges into intelligent digital products this could be the start of a rewarding career at On Key.
