Job Description

At FNBO, our employees are the heart of our story—and we’re committed to their success! Please see below the details of this career opportunity and how it fits into our organization’s success.

Summary of the Job:

The Sr. Associate, Marketing Data Architecture & Automation is the technical engine behind FNBO's marketing data operations — driving how marketing data is structured, connected, and activated across acquisition and customer management efforts. This role sits at the intersection of FNBO's enterprise data environment — anchored in Snowflake — and its external marketing execution ecosystem, powered in the digital space by the Zeta Marketing Platform (ZMP). While an individual contributor, this role is a driver of change — bringing deep technical expertise to evaluating new platforms, evolving data structures, and implementing new ways of working.

About This Role:

Data Architecture & Platform Integration

Design, build, and maintain the data architecture connecting FNBO's enterprise data environment to marketing execution platforms — with Snowflake as the foundational data layer and ZMP as the primary digital activation platform. Own the technical integration between Snowflake and ZMP — including data flows, audience construction, and activation pipelines — ensuring data moves intelligently between environments at the right time.

Automation & Workflow Optimization

Own the design, development, and ongoing optimization of automated marketing data workflows — including data outputs and criteria-driven processes that support campaign execution at scale. Drive new automation approaches that increase the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of marketing data operations.

Acquisition Platform & Data Onboarding

Lead the technical onboarding and integration of acquisition data platforms — including requirements definition, data mapping, and implementation execution. Drive Snowflake-based changes supporting acquisition data flows within ZMP for digital and Naehas for direct mail, ensuring data is accessible, accurate, and activation-ready.

Marketing Platform Enablement

Ensure the team consistently leverages the full technical capabilities of ZMP — including audience construction, activation, and data connectivity — to support acquisition and existing customer engagement goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Build and maintain strong working relationships with Data Engineering, IT, Marketing Technology, Compliance, and external partners to drive alignment on marketing data initiatives.

Governance & Compliance

Ensure all data handling, workflow automation, and marketing data activities adhere to applicable regulatory requirements and FNBO's data governance standards.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Key Skills

  • SQL Expertise: Advanced, hands-on SQL proficiency — able to independently write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries in support of marketing data architecture and automation.
  • Python Proficiency: Working proficiency in Python for data processing, automation scripting, and workflow development in a marketing data context.
  • Snowflake Expertise: Deep working knowledge of Snowflake, including views, data sharing, data modeling, and how to leverage the platform to power marketing data use cases.
  • AI & Emerging Technology Awareness: Awareness of how AI and agent-based capabilities within platforms like Snowflake and ZMP can be applied to advance marketing data operations.
  • Marketing Technology & CDP Fluency: Strong familiarity with enterprise marketing platforms and CDPs; hands-on experience with ZMP or comparable platforms, including audience construction, data connectivity, and activation.
  • Data Architecture & Modeling: Ability to design and evolve data structures that are scalable, performant, and purpose-built for marketing activation.
  • Automation & Workflow Optimization: Demonstrated experience building and optimizing automated data workflows, output processes, and criteria-driven marketing automation at scale.
  • Acquisition Data Platforms: Familiarity with acquisition data platforms, data cooperatives, or third-party data providers and how they integrate into a broader marketing data strategy.
  • Technical Translation: Skilled at bridging the gap between enterprise data infrastructure and marketing business needs — translating complex requirements into actionable technical solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Comfortable operating as a technical advocate in conversations with Data Engineering, IT, and external platform partners.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Solutions-oriented mindset that anticipates needs, surfaces recommendations independently, and drives progress with incomplete information.
  • Governance & Compliance Awareness: Understanding of data privacy, compliance, and governance requirements in a regulated financial services environment.
  • Communication & Documentation: Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences; strong documentation habits.
