Senior UI/UX Developer / Design System Architect

We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Developer/Architect with strong experience building enterprise design systems and developing accessible, reusable UI components.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain an enterprise design system and reusable component library.
• Develop accessible Angular components using HTML, SASS/SCSS and TypeScript.
• Ensure UI components meet WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Use semantic HTML, ARIA and accessibility testing practices.
• Develop and document components using Storybook.
• Support implementation of design systems across multiple applications.
• Perform accessibility and code reviews.
• Work closely with developers, UX teams and other stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and mentorship on accessibility and UI/UX best practices.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of front-end development experience.
• Strong Angular experience.
• Proven experience building an enterprise design system from scratch.
• Strong WCAG/Section 508 accessibility knowledge.
• Experience with ARIA, semantic HTML and accessibility testing.
• Experience with Storybook.
• Strong HTML and SASS/SCSS skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with USWDS (U.S. Web Design System).
• Experience with .NET/MVC and SQL.
