Job Summary

Pittsburgh, PA | Lawrenceville

Hybrid Nanny/Household Manager Role

Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Generally 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (M-F) with flexibility required to shift hours earlier or later as needed; guaranteed 45 hours/week
Hourly Rate: $30-38/hour DOE; open to 401K employer matching
Children: 3-month-old
Pets: Two large, lovable hypoallergenic doodles
PTO: 1 week paid of nanny’s choice, 1 week paid family’s choice, 6 sick days and all major holidays

Requirements:

• Up-to-date vaccines
• Preferably a car large enough to transport 2 large dogs (combined weight 155 lbs)

Responsibilities and Duties

WHO/WHAT: One adorable baby, two oversized (and lovable!) doodles, two busy dads, and one very important missing piece to this Lawrenceville household puzzle... YOU! 🧩 This wonderful family is searching for a nanny/household manager who loves babies, doesn't mind a little dog hair, and gets a strange amount of satisfaction from a beautifully organized home!

Think part baby whisperer, part household superhero, and part master of the never-ending to-do list!

While baby snuggles and infant care are absolutely part of the fun, this role leans more heavily toward household management. These busy dads need someone who loves the behind-the-scenes magic of keeping a home running smoothly. Someone who notices the diaper drawer is running low, gets bottles ready for the next round, and knows the joy of walking into a tidy kitchen!

So, what does a typical day look like?

• You'll provide loving, attentive infant care, support baby's routines and development, and keep this little one happy and thriving. But nestled in throughout each day, there's a household to keep humming!

The Daily To-Do List:

• Keep bottles washed, dishes done, and the kitchen counters sparkling!
• Give the first floor some TLC: straighten the couch, fold blankets, put away baby gear, and take out the trash.
• Stay one step ahead of baby's needs! Refill formula and water dispensers, stock diapers and changing supplies, empty diaper pails, and keep clean onesies, swaddles, and burp cloths ready for action.
• Bring in packages and keep deliveries organized.
• Provide plenty of baby snuggles, interaction, and age-appropriate developmental fun!
• Walk the two resident doodles, ideally daily. If that's too much to juggle, the family is happy to arrange additional dog-walking help.

Every Few Days:

• Keep the laundry mountain from becoming an actual mountain! Wash, dry, and fold as needed.

The Weekly Extras:

• Coordinate household vendor appointments.
• Restock groceries and pantry essentials.
• Change the primary bedroom sheets.
• Handle prescription pickups and household errands.
• Have extra time? There may be a few additional household projects, but the family understands the priorities above come first. BONUS: They already have weekly housekeeping help for deep cleaning!

This family may be relocating in late spring, although plans aren't finalized. This could be a shorter-term opportunity, so they're hoping to find someone comfortable with a little uncertainty and excited to make a difference for however long they're together (with ample notice provided either way)!

Someone who doesn't need to be told what comes next, welcomes feedback, and loves being part of a team! You'll also understand the importance of professional boundaries, respect that these career-focused dads have demanding schedules, and feel comfortable communicating openly and respectfully to keep everyone on the same page!

And did we mention the doodles? You've gotta love dogs, especially two oversized, lovable pups who consider themselves part of the welcoming committee! 🐾

Requirements and Benefits

• Nanny must have a driver's license, vehicle, and a clean driving record
• Nanny MUST have previous nanny experience for a minimum of 2 years.
