Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License required or willingness to obtain.
  • Life & Health Insurance License preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Previous sales, customer service, or business development experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through networking, referrals, marketing, and community involvement.
  • Meet with prospective clients to assess insurance needs and recommend customized coverage solutions.
  • Sell a variety of insurance products, including auto, home, life, business, and specialty insurance.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships through exceptional service.
  • Conduct policy reviews to identify coverage gaps and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Follow up on leads and referrals provided through marketing efforts and personal prospecting.
  • Maintain knowledge of insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and state regulations.
  • Participate in sales training, coaching sessions, and professional development programs.
  • Assist clients with policy changes, claims guidance, billing inquiries, and renewals.
  • Maintain accurate client records using agency management systems.
  • Work toward meeting and exceeding monthly production and sales goals.
  • Learn agency operations, financial management, marketing strategies, and leadership skills in preparation for agency ownership.
  • Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.
  • Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales.
  • Develop new Financial Services opportunities.
  • Thoroughly understand and follow all underwriting, rating and compliance requirements.
  • Prospecting and generating new business through leads & referral sources.
  • Maintains inventory of office supplies and forms - places orders weekly.
  • Foster strong relationships with our customers to maintain a high level of client retention and product loyalty.
  • Presents and explains insurance policy options based upon prospective client needs and their personal goals.
